Priest Banned?

How did they survive the infection? Or, fighting off the infected that.....well, infected them?

People apparently have difficulty realizing that the "zombies" in Day Z are not classical zombies, but people infected with a prion disease. That is a good reason why there are no children, elderly, or baby "zombies"...they were all killed by their infected relatives, or died from the infection itself. The people with the weakest immune systems are often babies and the elderly.

Edit: do prion diseases prompt an immune response? IDK, I was a Biology major in college, and while I took a course in Immunology, we never touched Prion diseases....

Well there could be explanations to it, I do sometimes forget that it's a disease and not "classic zombies" but a mother could have locked up her kid in the basement with a lot of food and stuff to protect him from her as an infected and eventually he got infected, also, some kid could've been infected while his/her parents were immune, now that I think about it it's a really far fetched idea, and if implemented with this logic in mind they would be rare a fuck, they would still be scary as fuck though
