You guys did fire the first shot, even if it was a breaching round to open the door.  Personally, I would have tried communicating a little more and coaxing a response.  My biggest issue with this video though is that your gun is raised and pointed at your ally's body, which is a big gun-safety no-no. Never point your weapon at something you don't intend to shoot.
