Banned from Dallas 54

Approximately 20 minutes ago (11:53PM CDT) I was banned from the Dallas 54 server with the listed reason as Cheating/Hacking. At the time of the ban I was riding an ATV with 2 friends in other vehicles in tow. At the time of the ban my name was "Purple People Eater" but I run under 3 aliases on the server - "[rG]Kataclysm" and "[MiG] K" as well.

Looking for a response from one of the Vigilant Addiction admins hopefully soon.

This is the evidence that finally made us pull the trigger. If a Dev wishes to allow it then we'll lift the Ban. Without naming the person; it was verified highly unlikely chance this was possible.

We have a Server Log if your character have base items and then just 4 minutes later was completely stocked.

This shows you spawning in with nothing and then just minutes later you had (pretty much) every single item in the game.

We presented this Log File to the Dev Channel before moving forward with the ban. Good luck with your Appeal and if all goes well you will be un-banned from our servers.

Well I cannot say anything against the point as I both don't see any logs nor do I know how to interpret them. However I hope someone realises a mistake has taken place here.

I'm sure they won't want them publicly displayed for security reasons; you won't either because it would show information that you wouldn't want others getting a hold of.

Fair enough. Out of curiousity was it 4 minutes constantly on the server (IE. did I join at 11:04 and by 11:08 on the server I had full kit) or was it a leave and reconnect? If so I can account for every item I had.

Do people not understand having camps and drivers and having spare supplies for people who get killed? What are the rest of the clans doing? sitting in elektro shooting flashlighters no doubt. This is a bollocks ban, I was on TS with Kata at time of death and can vouch for his integrity.

There was no disconnect from the server during the time-frame. Without going into too much detail... it was a consistent time/date that show you going from nothing, to everything in matter of minutes.

We attempted to try and logically come up with some situations where that might happen; but couldn't really pin anything with a legit chance. I then personally dug into your PlayerID/IP/GUID information in more detail and saw a lot of 'Odd' scripts/additions/Inventory Magic.

You're not the only person I'm looking into; however it takes me a lot of time to go through all the logs and verify.

@DorianGrey - First off, the logs would show all that happening. The removal of items from one location and into another; from one person to another.

Also, I find it extremely unlikely that someone could locate and drive safely, in such haste, to someone that had just died. If there was a 15-20 minute difference.. then that's another story, but it's not... its much, much shorter than that.

You think I like tossing out bans to legit people? Certainly not! That is why I took the time, out of my personal life, to triple-check everything before this ban; knowing well that it would likely have an attempt to Appeal it. This is also why I discussed these logs/files with multiple people in the Admin/Dev DayZ channels.

As I said; good luck with your Ban Appeal - That's why this area exists. If your friend is cleared then I will be more than happy to lift the ban. There is just overwhelming evidence of foul play against your friend. I certainly don't appreciate you calling my 2 hours of research into your friends activities 'Bollocks"; he wasn't just randomly rage banned.

We have a clan mate who drives us places when we get killed, so we can get to our tents and resupply, we do this so dying becomes LESS of a hassle than it is. Its about the survival of our group. Depending on what kit we have, in what tents, and what vehicles we have available to us, we can re-acquire kit quite fast. I would like to know the exact time of that 4min re-kit though?

Last night Watchdog aka [MiG] W died after being crushed by a de-syncing tractor which Kataclysm aka [MiG] K was driving then shortly after Kata was accidentally killed by [MiG] D aka Dorian, both respawned on the coast then changed server to where I, [MiG] T, could pick them up by boat and take them to our off shore camp to kit out. After they were kitted out I transported them back to shore and they changed servers from there.

i find it hard to believe someone in this game can be decked out COMPLEATLY in the best gear and have the BEST car and over 60+ kills without being a hacker...not to mentionyou knew exactly where me and another guild member were from across the map and came EXACTLY to our location....this is not a bulluks ban. Its legit. Move to a different server we dont want u here...

scypheroth, I dont know if you were involved in that little hit will pulled last night but if thats what you are talking about then kata had been alive for ages before that. and 60 kills? I thinks me you have the wrong person cause as far as I remember your record was 24 kata? and possibly 14 when I shot you in the head last night. So correct me if I am wrong scypher but that does not equal 60.

(oh and yes on some servers we have the best cars in game sitting around where our drivers can get them.)

Scypheroth, I think you have me confused with -_-Purple-_- ([MiG] P), who did indeed have 60 kills at one point. Out of curiosity Scypheroth, how would you know how many kills I did or did not have? If that was listed in the log data then your log data wouldn't match with Rocket's character server data for my character.

Funny this comes up seeing that we shot and killed dorian grey this morning and he had the best of everything on him, we managed to steal the car he had and hid it on the opposite side of the map, out of nowhere, a motorbike approaches us and kills us a few hours later when we logged back in, knew our exact locations even though we were split up and had been still for quite some time once we heard the motor

@Kata - Scypheroth is not an Administrator with that kind of access. It's only me.

To be completely blunt; I don't care if you have a jumbo-jet on another server. It's highly impossible that you could guess/Know when a friend of yours would die; then be ready and available to 'pick him up' or 'bring him supplies' within the extremely short window of 4 minutes. It takes just a minute for the player to respawn and be 'aware' of where he is; leaving you 3 minutes to "get there". The only way you could "get to your boat" quick enough to even have a shot if you were out adventuring with your friend that died; would be to teleport to him... or spawn a plane. You guys aren't teleporting around and spawning planes right? No, so that's good. (At least not that I've found yet)

It's also extremely suspect that every single [MiG] member has now all changed their Nicks roughly at the same time at the single sign of a ban; one of them was even Global Banned which is through BattlEye (It's like a super-confirmed Hacker ban pretty much).

Digressing - The ban was valid due to highly supporting evidence of hacking/scripting. I followed more than enough procedures to verify it and be confident in the ban to uphold it. In response you've posted your appeal; you have that right and I certainly acknowledge it. It will be dealt with if they choose to do so; we will go from there.

@Kataclysm Purple openly told us how many kills he had and what guns he was using...it occurred on the same day he told me and a fellow guildie i bet i can find you guys from across the map...when i was dressing a full gillie suit and in HEAVY tree cover...he made a STRAIGHt beeline for us from over 800m away...srry but imma say u guys shud find another server to hack on...we dont need u here. prob were the ones driving a bomber plane around the other night too...

We are all on TS with eachother so of course we know when we die. Anyway I assume you are looking into this with diligence and appreciate that. We will all go back to rolling our [rG] tags if that makes you feel better about who we are, but I fear our association with [MiG] P, a player we met less than a week ago will end here, he is not part of our group, and we will take no more association with that player. The issue is with Kataclysm, NOT PURPLE (or [MiG] P as he was known)

Well thanks to this thread, and the reasonable admin feedback and response, I feel that I might have another reasonably safe place to play.

I will have to check it out to see if there are too many tagged clan members on for me to try it out, though. I find that thriving clans make for shitty servers for us solo players.

Man that sucks that the devs have been fighting the DDoS and hive issues and couldn't take the time to get to this problem. This man deserves to know right now if he and his clan are forever to be labeled as scum of the earth cheaters or not. The rights of this player to play on this server is stopping him from trying to log in to all the other umpteen thousand and sit at the loading screen; or to desync every 5 minutes because the server can't properly connect to the hive anyway. He really wants to sit and look at an AKM that won't leave his bag into his tent. Good luck with your problem man.
