Second time in two nights I've lost all gear on that particular server branch without dieing to zombies or anyone else.

WTF is going on?

I didn't even gear up on that server...

Were you wiped when you logged in?

Did you suddenly see the message "You are dead"?

This could be a haiku thread.

No dead message - I just restart in a different location with all gear gone.

It's seriously fucking annoying, because I invest many hours with that character.

Haiku thread??

It was a 1st person/3rd person public server.

Haiku thread?

what are you talking about?

Haiku: a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five, traditionally evoking images of the natural world.

Google definition^

On topic: Are you sure that you've remained on the same hive? Now with private shards, characters are bound to their one & only hive.

If you join a freshly-restarted server too soon, your character information won't be in sync with the cloud & you'll experience a character wipe.

Maybe you died upon spawning in? Whether it be zombie or another player?
