HDD change for better performance?

Hello there again,

 

iam still confused about my performance in dayz while i compare with other streamers and players around.

 

my spec is pretty well imo gpu 970 gtx i5 4960 z97mb.......but i got the old one HDD from my old pc i dont even know the corp. its 350gb i guess rly old does it have effect for the performance ?

 

thanks for any advices though. )))

 

giving away Pick your path code from nvidia for UNITY AC and FAR CRY 4 for FULL FIX!!!!

If you don't have a SSD you should defenetly get one (getting a better HDD will not change as much), and move your OS, the important programs and your most important games on it. (downloads/media files etc. on the HDD)

This will boost you overall system performance, like no change of the CPU/GPU/RAM could.

I would not expect the game to run a lot faster, but it could help a little.

Get an SSD as Soon as possible. Really. It's a difference like night and day.  :thumbsup:

SSD helps loading times primarily. According to Dean, DayZ does a lot of streaming off the drive (due to the big map I suppose), so moving to an SSD could help lower stuttering.
