Re-login countdown after unintentional disconnection

I apologize in advance if this has been discussed elsewhere.

 

I'm ok with the countdown itself, but there are cases where it gets really annoying and it's maybe not that useful, like

 

- when you re-log after a server restart

- when you re-log after being kicked

- when you re-log after hitting esc key because of the endless "Please wait"

- when you respawn after death

 

generally speaking, any case where i'm not logging out on purpose. Couldn't be possible, without negative

consequences - that i may being missing -, to intercept this unintentional logouts and make the game behave accordingly?

The problem with that is I think there isnt any way to tell if you just left the server.  The countdown after leaving a server that restarted you should wait until you recieved no message for atleast 20 seconds, i usually dont have a countdown the next time i join.

I'm not sure, i can remember from some version ago (maybe before 0.48?) that there was no cooldown, for instance, after server restarts

The timers work just fine when you are not spamming logouts for unknown reasons.  If its stacking enough to upset you, you're playing the game wrong.  I prefer the timers stay as there are more pro's then con's.

What do you mean by "playing the game wrong" ?  If i'm playing in a server, the server restarts and kicks me out , then i join another server - what's wrong with this? oO

Wait a minute; go use the restroom, get a drink, stretch your legs. No wait timer for me when I do stuff like that.

Anyways, that timer is useless anyways... I would REALLY like to see the pros about this...

If they are anything within the range of explanations like : It prevents server hoppers... Well you're wrong... it just takes 1 minutes 40 seconds top...

Just wasting people time in a counter-measure for server hopping that is clearly not solving the issue, like i said in another topic, the only way to prevent that is to tie the characters to the server you play only... If you go on another one, gotta start over again... Best way  to keep the game fair IMO !!!!

They have private servers for that now

Yeah, those private servers where, when an admin tries to kill you but end up being killed resets the server ? Or those private servers with that maximum loot non-sense ?? Clan Only servers... Most of them are really badly configurated servers that has nothing to do with the experience we are ''Supposed'' to have while testing the game !

Uh, you can't configure the game to your liking yet.  Their only option is to password it.

A pro that stands out the most for me would be anti combat logging.

Yeah probably the only con i could find so far... But doesn't stop people from doing it still... A guy tried to kill me but missed (Bad aim) when i started chasing him he went in a building with only one entrance, after waiting 30-45 seconds (In case he would rush back out) decided to go in, surprise... Dissapeared... !
