Infection HELP

help, in the most recent .50 patch of standalone, I have been killing zombies for the last 2 days with a fire axe, no problems, then today I was attacked and given the status effect of "sick" I ate some charcoal tabs thinking I would be fine, after 5 minutes my screen has no colour and I have the message in the bottom left saying "I have infected wounds" I have not been able to find anything on the web and am posting here as a last resort, please help me

Pure guess....spray your rags with disinfectant before applying them maybe?

 

There are other med items than charcoal tabs but iv never been infected so haven't explored it much

You need antibiotics I think, I have some. Where are you?

Moved to new player discussion, you will need to find an Alcohol Tincture to treat infected wounds.  I have not tried any other ailments.  Here is a picture and some info to assist.

Wound Infection stage 2 with messages "My wounds are infected","I have infected wounds", inventory notifier "sick", loosing water  blood   health.

Treatment: Clean Wounds with Alcohol Tincture, 1 or more times, should see message "My wounds are clean now".
