No sound in-game post 0.50

Recently jumped back onto dayz after my month of exams, updated to 0.50 only to log into the game with no sound. 

 

I have sound in the menu screen and every other game on my PC, just none in DayZ. I thought it may of been my new headset but after turning off/ disconnecting it and playing sound through my speakers I get the same thing. 

 

My next step was then to go through all the audio options in my PC, steam, and DayZ settings, but all were fine. So I uninstalled and redownlaoded and came back with sound. However,the next day I came back and no sound again!!!????

 

Does anyone have any suggestions or explanation to why this is happening?

Sometimes I lose sound in-game after I disconnect and log back in. For example, sound is working fine, server restarts, I get disconnected and rejoin the server, no more sound. I close and restart the game which always fixes it. Maybe try that. Also if anyone knows of a reason/fix for my problem I'd appreciate the info. It would be nice not to have to restart the game each time I lose sound.
