everything is huge and the game wont start

everything is real blurry and real big when i start it even the thing that pops up on steam and says press f-12 for overlay is hugge too . and i cant set my res to 1920x1080

if the above doesn't work, just go to the video menu and set the resolution of your interface first.  then it should let you set your game resolution etc properly.
