Bayonet attacks

With new controls we have option to use firearms as melee. How about making use of bayonet on our weapon with use of other game mechanics like hit collision detection and ragdoll?

 

I mean, why using a bayonet need animation for it? Can't it be just like you run and point bayonet at enemy and you just stab him when bayonet reach him? It could work only while running and weapon in ready position. It would also be cool, because you have to be really cautious while using it because of of possibility of friendly fire.

 

I know there is a tricky part in it, because this option would make bayonet attack have hit collision system turned on all the time, but maybe there is some option to solve it.
