Chemlight lanyard?

Is there any way  to craft a chemlight lanyard? If not it would be very handy! Maybe using rope with the knife to cut a piece and then tie the chemlight to it? Also maybe the ability to attach it to certain equipment like backpacks and vests.

 

Also probably my favorite moment I've witnessed in dayZ so far would be in a field outside Berenzino there were 4 or 5 zombies running and chasing after a cow! It was absolutely hilarious.

Not yet, good idea though, used to be able to have your lantern on in your inventory and it'd light the area around you, wasn't able to do it last time I tried and had to hold it.  Hope they change it back.
