TGPstolas 20 Posted December 3, 2014 This is my second post on the DayZ Forums,. I notice whenever I get into a gunfight, I shake uncontrollably, and always end up getting killed. Every time there's a gunshot, my hand spazzes out at like, a million miles an hour, I can't help it! Yet, I see these dudes on YouTube who can take on a group of 4 fully decked-out players and not even flinch. But for me, when there's a gunfight, I ALWAYS get killed. I've never won a gunfight... what do I do? Thanks in advance for all responses, :Dtry to stay hidden. if you see someone, and you dont have back up, dont go for the kill/contact. stay back, and if they see you and raise their gun, make sure you have a shot.see, dont be seen.i used to be the same way. it gets better and easier to control. this is the reason this game is so fun. you really get nervous when shit goes down! dayy 173 Posted December 5, 2014 (edited) Nearing my 100th hour on SA, I find I no longer shake during combat. Yesterday this revelation hit me, me and my friend came under fire while going through a heli crash site, he was killed instantly. I calmly made a dash for the treeline, and ended up taking out a few of the bandits (felt soooo good). EDIT: Now, looking back i'm not sure if it was experience, but rather something more interesting. The moment my friend was killed, I accepted that I was going to die, before running, I hid behind the copter, as shots were fired at me. I thought to myself, there is no way out, this is it. But then I thought, NO, I won't give in, if I stay here I will die, that's when I ran. You know the rest of the story, I was so focused, I didn't have time to worry, I did what had to be done, and it turned out with 2 of them dead, the third retreating, and me stealing their abandoned V3 (also the third may have had a sporter, as I was hit a few times by one as I was trying to get into the truck, talk about luck). Xicsic 9 Posted December 12, 2014 it is not that you are shaking, it is your adrenaline and your heart rate going up rapidly in thes situations.I played for a while now and when ever i hear a gun shotMy reaction is "Better not be shooting me"But no matter what your adrenaline is still going to go up
