Buying another copy of arma 2 combined operations

I got banned on arma 2 OA servers about a year ago and wanna buy a new copy on another steam account. Is there a chance i could have been ip banned or does that not happen?

You would only be IP banned server specific, if a server admin IP banned you.  The new copy will be fine, hopefully this was a learning experience.
