Clearing zombies in barn

Recommended Posts

Every time I approach a barn now, there's at least 1 or 2 zombies in it. Because of their new super sonic hearing, it's impossible to navigate inside the barn without alerting the zombies.

How do you deal with them/loot the barn?

I usually just shoot one, run upstairs and waste another 10 shots killing the others that inevitably hear the first shot and come running. It's really annoying, but I don't know any other way to do it aside from killing them with a hatch or crowbar (which is really annoying to switch out if you already have a rifle equipped).

I find that they do patrol after a few minutes. Wait for them to go and then crawl in. Slow crawling = invisible mode.

Toss empty cans or empty whiskey bottles to lead them out and away.

It's more rewarding to figure it out on your own, but one way--causing them to plummet to their deaths an effort to get to you--can be highly entertaining. I pretend they are Arma2 developers, and it's sweet revenge, for the deadly gravity and brittle bones in this game!
