Restrained Player: Escort/Use as Human Shield

Recommended Posts

Anyone fond of the idea of being able to use a restrained player as a human shield? This would only be viable with a pistol of course.

This action would allow you to wrap one arm around the restrained players shoulders/neck, while keeping your pistol drawn in the other hand. The action should "bind" both players together, & the movement of the restrained player should then be influenced by the player that is now using him as a human shield.

The restrained player should also have the option to "break loose" just as they do with the W key when restrained.

I'd like to see a more "subtle" restraining mechanic to go along with this as well. Such as simply grasping the restrained players arm to "guide" or "escort" him, but in a less hostile manner.

Again, the restrained players movement should be influenced by the player that's in control, until said restrained player attempts to break out successfully.

I can't imagine something like this would be to difficult to implement, considering we'll have the option to drag bodies in the future.

Thoughts?

it would happen in a real life scenario so I'm down for the idea. i think if someone is unaware of your presence you should be able to grab from behind or use fiber wire as well but i think that would piss a lot of people off to get taken out so easily well easy for them to get taken out not for the sneaky snake that had taken the time to use stealth. i wish we had more stealth elements like certain shoes would make less noise. I noticed not carrying a rifle type of weapon makes less noise as well. to me it should be viable to take out threats as one person without using a firearm but using knife, choking out with hands or wire, use of deadly traps. and these same things we should also be able to do to zeds.but alas it is only a dream.

I like all the ideas in these first two posts here. All certainly possible in real life, and makes room for some pretty cool stand-offs. Having a greater stealth element to the game than simply sneaking off to a new firing position would be fun.
