Free camera mode?

I'v seen quite few videos of players being able to use something similar to free camera to capture aerial shots of the map, and I was wondering how that is done?

Most likely the free camera at around 1:00 were shot with ChernarusPlus (i.e. DayZ standalone) as a mod in Arma 3 or simply with Arma 2.

Seems about right, the overhead does not really show much interms of electro to give the impression it is actual SA so I would think one simply loaded A3 with http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=23863 and http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=26296 then ran Chernarus in the editor and filmed the overhead for a section of video.

Yup, looks like it was recorded in Arma 2 to me.
