Using voice chat resolves in soundlost

Hi there,

 

When i use voice chat , i lose all of my sound, and the sound only comes back when i restart steam :

 

- I use the default button for voice chat ( caps lock )

- I am having this problem for several months 

- When i use Teamspeak when this bug acours ,i get insta muted on TS for some reason , Please note that i allso have this problem when not using teamspeak.

- I am using a logitech headset 

 

please help

For some reason , holding caps lock mutes ts , and the sound of day z , assigning a different key solved it.

Now i need to feend out why holding caps lock mutes my sound

Check the following settings in the Windows Control Panel and see if it helps resolve the issue

 

  • Go to Control Panel> Hardware and Sound> Sound> Communications tab.
  • Select Do Nothing (Refer to image)

Also make sure your Mic is set to "default device" and not "default communication device" 

 

Found a few others with similar issue with ArmA + TS3 + Logitech headset. No posts with a solution though.

Ty for your response , i am using this settings right now ... and it looks like its working for now ! , I will keep testing this and will reply in a few days of it works on a long term.
