0.49 crashsites (& a few observations)

There used to be 70 sites, they removed all of the southern/balota ones... which brings it down to the low 60s I believe.

 

Did not know there were only 3 car or heli spawns...  Seems odd I haven't seen this anywhere else.  I suppose it would account for the rarity lately.  Did see someone say the cars don't seem random and there is always one in a certain location... but don't know much of anything about the cars.

M4s are overrated anyhow. Get yourself a nice raincoat. Seems hypothermia is the real killer in .49

yeah about that. Raincoats are only good in 3pp mode. In hardcore it is hard to see behind your back with raincoat, so I now prefer gorka set (I used to hate it like a plague).

Well I just found my first Mi-24 Hind spawn on NWAF and BOY OH BOY was I excited, since the server had just started fresh.

 

Since the UH-60 always spawned attachments to the M4 (but never an M4......) and I already had the AKM, I took the chance of getting sniped by one of the other few players on the server and ran right out to look for a picatinny handguard and a PSO-scope!

 

Imagine what a wonderful feeling it was to find

- Badly damaged boots

- Damaged boots

- A pristine gorka helmet (that, apparently, offers no melee protection btw)

- A box of 7.62x39 ammo

- some other common item I couldn't be bothered to remember

 

I've spent roughly the past 4 hours running from Vybor through airfields almost getting killed in the process to look for a heli-crash site or a regular handguard spawn. Then I finally find a freshly spawned heli crash site and it has the same garbage I would have found in any of the hangars across from it?

 

I think there should be a small reward for finding a heli crash site. Some, any item that is rare or impossible to find. Like in my case, the minimum I would expect to find is a PM-rak magazine or a CZ-527 carbine magazine. Not just some rancid old BOOTS!
