LHurlz 2 Posted September 25, 2014 So after playing a lot of SA, I've decided I want to give the mod a go. I've watched a few videos and there appears to be some difference in opinion on the components needed. So far I'm just going with Arma II: Combined Operations. (Arma II, Operation Arrowhead and Arrowhead beta). But some say you need the British Armed Forces too, and I'm not sure which to go with. Basically I'm trying to save myself 7 euro haha, so I'd like to know what I need to do to install the DayZ Mod. Any help with components and installation is very much appreciated. Thanks. Thanks. You dont need baf to play it just adds a lot of extra textures. To install dayz mod just go to steam and download "Dayz Mod". You can then launch it right from steam. There are many types of servers but if you want to try one that is just as it was intended to be, "vanilla" as we say, then I happen to have one handy 198.24.156.194:2810

And if you wouldn't mind explaining to different server types to me I'd really appreciate it, only watched a few mod videos and thought wow that looks like so much fun compared to SA. Baker. 1484 Posted September 25, 2014 Thanks, just to confirm I do still need Arma II and Operation Arrowhead right? Yes. And technically that's all you need, but baf is almost a must (gives your character the proper textures)
