jokke (DayZ) 0 Posted September 24, 2014 (edited) Today when I was playing dayZ i encountered a brain jarring bug 2 times in row. First I played the normal mode and I was on the northern air strip next to Krasnostav. Suddenly the screen just turned black with the ''you're dead message'' and no gun sound what so ever. Then I switched to my character in the 1st person mode. I was in the firestation tower when an other player ran in the same floor that I was at. He was unarmed and did nothing. about 3 seconds from there my leg suddenly breaks and I first thought the other player did something but then the other guy falls down dead. I can only assume someone shot a burst trough the window but I heard absolutely nothing. Then a wild zombie comes to beat the crap out of me. Could this be just a desyncronization issue or what? Exorade 214 Posted September 24, 2014 I don't know what causes it but it's a known bug as far as I'm aware. Not being able to hear someone take a shot next to you, that is. You're supposed to be able to fix it by opening the console somehow and typing in "flush".But I haven't been able to get the console to work at any point. AAtlas 16 Posted September 24, 2014 Yea it's a known bug, unfortunately for me it's got alot worse since the release of 0.49, How much worse? it's hard to tell because if you play solo how can you know when you haven't heard something but when i've been playing with friends lately i'm not hearing about 8/10 of the gunshots that my friends are hearing, no joke. You could try the FLUSH command, here's how1. Turn numlock off2. Press left shift & - (on numpad, Note: nothing visual will happen here)3. Type FLUSH (stuff happens)make sure your safe though as it can take a little while to complete.Sadly it doesn't change a thing for me but you never know you might have more luck. Cptn_Miller 83 Posted September 25, 2014 Setting the sound options to max like quality or number of channels (cant remember atm), worked for me, now i can hear everything.
