how to start steam as Arma 2 CO beta?

im not sure if you can

i tried adding the beta launcher as a non-steam game but when i launched it i got a couple of errors and the game wouldnt start.

if i find anything ill report back though

in my old laptop i had a program that would let me launch arma 2 co with beta but i forgot the program name. any idea?
