Found Gorka E Military Helmet + Visor in one run

I think that I will consider this a lucky loot run through Balota Airfield. Just looting the barracks like normal and the 2nd one I found the visor. Sweet. Then I go into the 3rd barrack and find the helmet too? Woah. Cool!

Yeah, but to be honest, I prefer the helmet without the visor.

With the visor it looks so "broad".

 

 

Gasmask + MASKA-helmet looks very bandit-like and still awesome, too ;)

(I guess we will be able to have a gas-mask with this helmet, because special-forces-helmet, etc. etc.)

 

 

 

 

EDIT: I have heard the MASKA-helmet offers no protection against any bullet. Is that true?

I kinda wish we got the full plated version of the visor instead of riot one (see below). But that'll do I guess, maybe in next updates as a different variant? :)

I found one w/o a visor and the instant I find another pristine Kevlar helmet I'll toss the Gorka helmet into a ditch.

YES! I've heard that it is indeed only effective against melee attacks and that a .22 will punch through the thing and Kill your ass instantly. That's why I am dumping it.  And even without the Visor it looks like a refugee from a bad 1950's Sci Fi film...butt ugly.

Seeing how you found em in military barracks i wouldn't necessarily call it lucky.

 

first time i found the helmet and visor was also in 1 run at Novodmitrovsk.

These things are so easy to find, I could have made multiple helmets w/ visors. I personally like Helmet with a green balaclava.

I can confirm it is not bullet proof whatsoever. Tested with a single 9mm round into the visor (pristine) from a p1 pistol. Killed me dead.

all helmets currently protect the whole head so there's no functional advantage to using a maska
