Weird lag spikes

Good day 

 

For a while now ive noticed that I get like a little frame freeze / lag but my frames don't increase or decrease.

 

I play on medium to high settings

and I use shadowplay to check fps

 

My specs : gtx 760 2gb, 8 GB ddr3 ram, i5 4790 and a 1 tb hdd

 

Does anyone know what is the cause of this?

Did this start with the 049 patch?

Can be caused by the HDD as the game constantly loads from it( do you get alot of pop ups/ins of textures etc) how old is the HDD. Basicly it can cause a temp bottleneck as it waits for the info to be read( which causes sudden pauses or stutters but leaves the FPS at the same rate it was as the gpu is still rendering the game at its usual speed.

The entire pc is barely 2 months old now, and there is only steam and a few games on the hdd, I don't install other stuff just games, it happens from time to time even before the 0.49 patch.
