Non steam ARMA II and steam OA

Hello everyone,

Basically i got ARMA II on CD (not on steam) and i watched a few videos on DayZ and was very excited to get it, i then realised you needed OA to play it. So off i went to buy OA (On steam).

My problem is, is that both of the games are not on steam together, neither are they not on steam together, they are on both of them separately. I installed the dayz mod in OA on steam, and created a folder bla bla bla, but when i start it up through steam and try to join a server i get this error 'you cannot play/edit this mission it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted'

People have said that you have to run it as 'Combined operations' - Obviously i can't because i dont own CO because i bought them separately , so im wondering if it is still possible to play DayZ depending on my current situation?

To fix it copy the addons from ARMA 2 to your Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead folder, should fix it

Thanks i have done that. I now have this error

"addons\a10.pbo", "addons\air.pbo", "addons\air2.pbo", "addons\air3.pbo", "addons\animals.pbo", "addons\animals2.pbo" ... are not signed by a key accepted on this server. To play on this server, remove listed files or install additional accepted keys.

Try exiting steam, run as administrator then right click ARMA 2 : OA > Properties > Local files > verify integrity of game cache

See if that fixes it

Okay, i am downloading ARMA II update 1.11, i will try and install it and test to see if i can play and will post the results ASAP

I have now downloaded it, and clicked 'run' on the .exe and it extracts automatically, it is now saying 'Arma II is not installed or is corrupt' Arma II is installed, but i think the path it is automatically extracting it is wrong or corrupt.

Here is what it says on the read me:

'===HOW TO INSTALL THE PATCH===

Run the patch exe to apply the patch setup automatically.

It will install all content of the patch to the folder with your ArmA 2 installation (default is C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 or Bohemia Interactive\ArmA2).'

My Arma II is not located from where it says above, im guessing thats the problem? what will i have to do now, how can i change it?

Hi, i have manged to sort a lot out. I can now join servers with no errors. My only problem now is that every server i join gets stuck on 'loading' right after the first loading screen, i can hear gameplay though. Can you please help me?

Oh sorry i derped was thinking of missing files my bad, right click arma 2 : oa > reinstall battleye. That "should" fix it.

lol thats alright mate, and hate to be a bloody pain once again, but i've already tried re installing battleye, and nothing happens. For a split second it says 'starting Arma CO' but then yeah nothing happens. I tried getting the files from the website then replacing them in the specifc folders, still nothing happens.. i still get 'stuck' on the loading screen :(

Do you have XF or skype or anything? feel like im clogging up this thread lol

Gonna have to post, my home Internet is down and has been on and off for a few hours, currently using my iPad.

Or try Six launcher, I've never used it for DayZ so I can't help with it but I'm sure they're are tutorials on YouTube.
