How to run the Experiment version?

Can't figure out how to join the 0.49 experiment version via Steam. I've always just used the stable version.

 

Any help pretty please?

Right Click DayZ in your Steam Library

Click Properties

Go to Betas

Select "experimental" from the dropdown.

Hit close/ok/etc. to get back to your library.

 

Your game will download the experimental files, so it'll take a minute to update. Then clear any filters you have in the game server thingy (ping, punkbuster, etc) and search for experimental servers to play on.

Thanks Boneboys, I did try a search using "how to play the experimental version" and got a page of results, none of which told me how to to actually do it. :)

Your link wasn't in it.

 

The trick is with making topics is to try and use keywords that an average player might use in finding the subject.

Just going to the subforum concerning the Experiental branch here and look at the 2 (!!!) stickies would have even saved you from searching.
