AndrXi 0 Posted June 30, 2012 I've been thinking of a easier way of sniping but for that I would need the bullet speed values for the sniper rifles which I don't have or even if they exist.I would like to know if someone knows a source which I can go get that information. Soldier of Failure 14 Posted June 30, 2012 Assuming Arma 2 has the correct bullet speeds (I think it does)Ask google about the various guns n stuff.
liquidje 38 Posted June 30, 2012 It would only be fair to share your "easier way of sniping". For example, I know some estimates, but I'm not giving it away for free. Let's be honest: I would hate to give you the numbers and get sniped in the head tomorrow because of that.

I hadn't seen that post before. So they are using actual RL ballistic speeds. I've been using 800m/s to calculate leading the target as I read a post from before the ones you linked as that was the speed. Would explain why some of my farther shots were off a little bit.Nice to know they're using the 900m/s for the 5.56. Will make using the M16 ACOG more intuitive for me now.
