I have to have 1.8 to join  a certain server so if you can help me out and link me that'll help :) thanks

Steam: It's the surest way to download and launch dayzmod.

or scroll to bottom of the official link

Short version:

Steam

Right click Arma2: DayZ Mod, select properties.

When the window pops up go to the "BETAS" tab

Now Select 1.8.2 in the drop down box.

The files should now should now update

Launch as normal

Dayzlauncher and DZC are all behind on the version.
