Judopunch 523 Posted October 2, 2014 The online map is a 2D overhead view of the actual 3D map. The in-game map is what a real life map would look like. Maps are not supposed to depict every single detail. It gives you the gist of what's there.I find that the in game map is more accurate than any of the online maps when it comes to the terrain and for general lay of the land I prefer it much better. I disagree and believe that you have it backwards. The in game map just doesnt have loot markers everywhere, it however shows topography much much better. Judopunch 523 Posted October 2, 2014 (edited) Speaking of the scale, do you know what 'contour interval' means in the ingame map legend? I can't figure it out...The 'contour' lines that show the shape of hills and what not have a specific space about them. That distance is the 'interval'. Therefor if your interval is 10M, and there are 3 lines, the hill is 30M up. If the lines are very close together it is a very steep slope. If they are very far apart its a rolling hill or whatnot. SE, SW, NE, NW You may also find S and N. Combining those two will create the entire map. Edited October 2, 2014 by Judopunch
