Will 0.49 stable bring persistence to everyone

I'd have thought so but I can't find anything that says it in black and white. Can anyone point me to any definitive statement on it if there is one.

Experimental branch will be updated this week as we look to expand testing on 0.49 before the stable branch update. Additionally, BattlEye will begin broadcasting a message every hour warning users of the upcoming stable hive reset that comes with the 0.49 update.

As 0.49 will bring persistent storage to all stable branch servers it is important that those who rent DayZ server instances make sure to check out the backup policies of their respective game server providers to ensure an easy recovery in the event of any unforseen issues with your instance.

Been avoiding playing because of the wipe, since I only play stable.  Somewhat tempted to try my hand at PVP before that though just to get it out of my system.

why avoid playing due to the wipe? all the more reason to go and do what the hell you want before we have to start again.

Well hopefully they will start cracking down upon some of these servers that are trying to run "persistent" servers right now.  Because 90% of the FL ones run by "Gameservers" are just persistently f'ed up and down...

I thought it was people just being clever and putting [Persistence Enabled] into their server name to attract gullible players :)

More lazyness than anything else.  I usually play as a scavenger and wanted to set up a tent somewhere and gear it out (Tools, food, supplies).  If I play I'm going to want to do that and will get discouraged knowning it's just gonna get wiped in less than a week.  As I said I might try my hand at PVP.
