What to do?

Recommended Posts

I got decent gear. I have food and water. I have a vehicle. I have tents all over the place. I could go around killing other players, but really, what is the point of that? I do not find pleasure in someone elses pain. Getting supplies is as easy as logging onto a night time server and walking into the store. Killing other players is as easy as punching a two year old in the face.

I still have fun while in game, just wondering what else there is to do? I know the mod is still in alpha, but is there some sort of direction that Rocket is heading towards? Are our suggestions just that, suggestions? I have seen some good ones in the other forum, but until the next change/patch what is there to do?

Try rescuing people and making friends. It is truly the end-game part of the experience. If you can save someone, help them, and have loyal friends by your side. Your life's effect is prolonged exponentially than everything being ended with one bullet.

The true end-game is being able to determine the socio-psychological effect that a random player has come to experience through the rough times and being able to turn them not only to your favor...but the favor of others as well.

Just my 2cents :)

That is kind of funny, I ran down the beach today towards Cherno to aide one of my friends who just bought Arma 2 for this mod. Every person I ran past, (most with no weapons) instantly dropped to the ground and dc'd. Hard to help those who are affraid for their lives. I also been experiencing direct communication is not working on a lot of servers.

I will try to help a complete stranger tomorrow and see what it gets me. Thanks for the suggestion.

Its just a suggestion :) Do as you wish.

I find it more thrilling trying to convince someone your not a threat and that friends are much rarer than items in this game...which is amazingly true. If atleast a 3rd of the regulars are friendly to you...then your chances of surviving drastically increase.

Its funny to see everyone complaining about dying and never living too long only to witness them shoot undetermined people on sight as well.

Get some tents and store gear, dish this gear out to new players and get them to help you start repairing vehicles. Drive round in convoys raping and pilliging. Claim a part of the map for your new clan. Demand food and water as protection money from the weak. Any survivors you come across in your convoy face the option of joining you or dying at the hands of your cronies...

It's a sandbox game dude, only limited by your imagination and a few game mechanics.

You can help people as others have said. Playing as a field medic is quite fun.

On the flip side you can play as an actual bandit and not a murderer. Ambush people and tell them to lie on the ground over voice chat or you and your (imaginary) friends will shoot. If you're decently hidden they won't have a chance to shoot you and there's no way for them to actually know you're alone if you're concealed.

When(if) they lay down tell them to stay still or the others will shoot you. Then you go through their backpack and take what you want. Personally I always leave them with at least 1 food and drink so they don't become a death matcher. I also like to remove the extra ammo from their pack and lay it on the ground next to them so they have to pick it up while you make your exit.

It's VERY risky and it's not as efficient as killing people but it can be a heck of a lot of fun. You never know how people will react.

And another option is just stalking other players. Hilarious things happen all the time in this game, especially if it's a group of players. Take out the binoculars, make some popcorn and laugh.
