huntbubbad 0 Posted August 20, 2014 How do you find or make sticks for broken arms or legs? I have chopped at trees until I'm blue in the face but still don't have any sticks to use to fix broken arms and legs.
hoik 415 Posted August 20, 2014 You can divide logs up into stick (with axe), you can chop down a small bush, you can scavenge the ground in a wooded area, you can google "dayz how to get ..."
DelayedReaction 18 Posted August 20, 2014 Can you even chop a tree with a broken arm?
ebrim 998 Posted August 20, 2014 Can you even chop a tree with a broken arm?You probably shouldn't be able to (at least with a 2-handed axe), but for now, yes.
pizuicas 82 Posted August 20, 2014 As easy as this: 1. Get your axe in your hands2. Get close to any bush3. You will have a message: "Chop for kindling" press F or your center mouse button4. Voila! you will find your sticks on your inventory. (BTW: you can group up to 5 sticks in 2 slots)5. If you are chopping a tree, once you have the logs you wil find the option: "make thirds".....you will have your sticks! I have found highly advisable to have a splint crafted at all times (with last patch fully crafted splint only uses 2 slots instead of 4!). There is a bug (?) that when you get hit by zeds and your try to aim afterwards, the sway of your weapon is just crazy. There is no message that you may have anything broken but it is!......so apply yourself your splint and everything should be fine. (morphine does the same trick) Cheers!
Evil Minion 943 Posted August 20, 2014 You can also find sticks by walking under some trees and use the "Search for kindling" option.
CANUCKinNZ 108 Posted August 21, 2014 No one mentioned you can't just jam a stick on your arm and be all good....but I'll let you discover what you need to craft a splint once you've found your stick. ;)
Schweinsteiger 107 Posted August 21, 2014 You need a rag to craft a splint.
