How do I start the game

I bought the game DayZ but can not start it as a game.

 

on the Early Access Alpha screen I hit PLAY

 

then I get a page like this:

 

Servers:

Internet      Favorites ....

Host                           hive ....

 

Nothing starts the game----I tried putting numbers in server and typing games names in hive but NOTHING starts any game----Please tell me what to do to play this game please! There is no instruction on how to start this game anywhere that I can find.

Launch your game, go to change server.

 

• Select the internet tab on the top left.
• Go to filter on the bottom left.
• Set host name and mission empty.
• Set max ping to 0
• Set min players to 0
• Set max players to 0
• Full servers show.
• Passworded hide.
• BE required yes.
• Select ok on the bottom right.
• Hit refresh on the bottom right after that and your servers should populate.

Also, sometimes the filter will yield no results, no matter what, or so it will seem. Give it a couple minutes if nothing shows when you refresh. Sometimes it helps to restart. Hope this helps :)

OK thanks a lot Steak and Potatoes---I got in some Experimental games but can anyone tell me if there is another Non-Experimental game that is to teach people how to play the game and use the selection keys?
