Deathlove 2286 Posted August 19, 2014 I personally am not all that fussed with the military gear. I much prefer the more rugged look of civilian clothing, this isn't supposed to be Arma 4 after all. When I think DayZ, I think of the kind of look that rebel insurgents have in the middle east. They have backpacks and are "military" of sorts, yet they don't look like actual army.Looks aside the overall end of days concept still needs a lot of work. Outside of just looks and guns alone. Also those mountain packs WOULD be high end civilian packs for the most part youd find in places like sporting goods stores and hunting stores. We need some solid military pack types as well to replace these packs in military zones. They could and should make the mountain packs high end rare civilian gear. hells high 676 Posted August 19, 2014 Yep, I was thinking about the MASKA helmet, SMERSH vest, and balaclava when I said that. Flack jacket is another thing I've thought of but we have to see how to handle it first. I'm holding SVD until we get a working version of central loot since it would quickly become 'that gun every leet sniper wants'. Peter and I agree that sniper rifles are of the devil and need to be quite rare. We'll probably add an MMG like PKM for mounting on vehicles when the time comes. Oh man, I wanna chop the rear section off a multicoloured Lada and mount a PKM on that bitch. Although its worth noting that the PKM is one of the lightest weapons in its class, its not uncommon to see soldiers shoulder firing it at enemy positions. I got the impression it would be heavier than an M240 with that metal assault pack that clips on to it and the larger round. Is the receiver aluminum? Humping them around would suck but it is do able, although until vehicles are introduced I don't feel the need for any machine guns. I'd love to see those crashed HMMVs with a 240 on it and crashed vodniks with PKMs. Of course they'd be in horrible condition so you only scavenge the working parts off of them.
