Confused and can't find solid answers

So been fishing around the net for about 2 hours and you know what its like , you ask a simple question like can I buy a certain thing or what is the answer to the price of cheese and all you can seem to find is people talking total of subject.

 

I only got a few questions and they all come under the one thing really.

 

1. On the normal non experimental build of Dayz SA , can you find tents ? and if you place the tent in that server will it stay there ?

 

2. where do you find the tents , I went around the map twice today to every single one of those little huts in the woods and din't find anything apart from shoes a can of tuna , drink and a fire extinguisher lol

 

Thats all I wanted to know , the reason why I've came to question this is because the experimental build is confusing me , as in I don;t have a clue what the difference is between them if they have the same stuff in them.

I read the patch updates for this week and compared it witht he experimental build thing and didn't see anything wrong apart from the fact there is something called persistence in one of them with the gear you have thats all.

 

please can someone tell me straight what I can and can't do in the servers please.

1. Yes, on persistence enabled servers.

2. Go to dayzdb.com and search the map for tent.

2: like above comment said, go to an online map, dayzdb is probably the best, and search for tents.

As hotcakes here has giving you the short answer, I'll get into a little more detail.

 

1: Yes but they only stay on "official" servers, these servers will have "Persistent storage enabled" within their title (host name) and if I'm not mistaken, they all have their countries abbreviation there was well, example, DayZ UK 1-11 (United Kingdom) or DayZ US 2-02  (United States)

 

2: I've managed to find 2 tents (when they were first implemented) both were North of Kamyshovo. check the image below.

Thanks man , I'm alllllll the way up the very very north west of the map out in the sticks between 2 of the wood hut things , though lol . 

it got that bad I have resorted to just going between the 2 of them and then logging out and into another server because I just cannot be bothered naving myself around the map to all of the little locations , already done it 4 times this week and all I got was boots and fire extinguishers as I said :D 

 

it is quite funny when I think of it but not in game , if all else fails im gona go there and just server hop until I get one. thanks man its appreciated.
