Problems when loading DayZ

Hello everyone,

 

Me and my friend just downloaded DayZ, he opened it up with absolutely no problems. But it was not that easy for me..

When I open the game, everything is zoomed in on the logo (white letters with some colors) and after that the DayZ logo comes, and then the whole screen gets black. I have been waiting, restarting and now trying to re-install. But whats weird, is that when I try to take a screenshot from my computer, I get a picture of my desktop zoomed in. This is very weird.. 

 

Anyone knows what the problem could be? I am currently re-installing it. But what if that doesn't work either?

I have tried re-installing the game, restart my laptop, updated Abobe Flash Player - and still I have the same problem! Please help me! :(

Thanks for answering my thread. I got directed to your Guide (http://imgur.com/a/nPJ7Y).

 

But I don't get that menu up at all, after the DayZ logo vanishes, the screen is just black, with the spinning mouse circle.. I used the second method on the top of the page, and was able to change the resolution to (1920 x 1080p). But still, just a black screen..

I finally was able to get into the menu, but then I changed the game quality, and now it has frozen on the DayZ logo with a red loading bar underneath it. It comes up again even if I try to close/open the game.. Why is there so many problems with me?
