SCHOLAR 9 Posted June 30, 2012 IS there a new Beta patch out for ARMA 2 in the last 2 days, that I need for dayz
Dancingg 27 Posted June 30, 2012 You need A beta patch. The last few most recent beta patches for Arma 2 are common. You can find servers with any of those patches. Just make sure you have the right one.
SCHOLAR 9 Posted June 30, 2012 How do you know? I'm up to date with dayz1.7.1.5... but how do we know when to update Arma 2's newest Beta??
enablerbr 0 Posted June 30, 2012 When I run Six Launcher. The server lists show me servers running which version of DayZ and which Beta patch there checking for. If your checking for servers by some other method. Then no idea if the same things would show up.

Nyz 42 Posted June 30, 2012 I constantly change beta patches. All servers run different ones. It tells you which they are running in the bottom right of the server log in
SystemiK 366 Posted June 30, 2012 Also, look at the changelog next to the beta download. Many times they update the beta patch with a newer version that has changes which have nothing at all to do with DayZ.Stuff like this: [94206] Fixed: Disabled channels can be bypassed in briefing screen (https://dev-heaven.net/issues/33906) No need to update to beta version [94206] just for this one fix which has nothing to do with DayZ. Save yourself the hassle for nothing.
boneboys 7988 Posted June 30, 2012 2 or 3 betas a week at the moment. If you want the game to run as should be use the latest build. When things do not work as planned, a new beta is released.I only play on servers that follow the beta build guidlines and they work very well. SystemiK 366 Posted June 30, 2012 Of course, Boneboys, I didn't mean to suggest not updating at all. Just that if you updated your beta patch yesterday and a new beta pops today that only changes mortar fire ranges, you probably can take a pass that one.Incidentally, Ive been searching for a tenative beta release date. Have you ever heard mention from BIS of an intended release date for the beta, or is it just one of those "done when its done" situations?
Lukio (DayZ) 24 Posted June 30, 2012 I constantly change beta patches. All servers run different ones. This is an issue sometimes. Having no auto-update is just weird nowadays and its one of the issues that makes ARMA 2 multiplayer so fragmented.
chaz gelf 15 Posted June 30, 2012 As far as I can tell, the latest beta patch is backwards-compatible with all previous beta patches. I'm on 94364 right now (The latest one) and I can still go on servers running 94209 and earlier. The main issue is the SixLauncher not keeping up to date with the beta patches for some reason. After 94209 came out I was getting frustrated because I kept getting "Bad Version" errors, even after running the latest patch. It turned out that both SixLauncher and SixUpdater were constantly reverting me to 94103 regardless of what patch I had installed.
SystemiK 366 Posted June 30, 2012 Yes you are right, all Arma 2 beta patches are backwards compatible, this makes it much easier for BIS to release incremental updates to the beta.
Nyz 42 Posted June 30, 2012 Ive been on some.servers that auto kick you if you use beta higher than 93701.
