Create two seperate military loot tables

Recommended Posts

Problem: M4 Carbine and accessories is now dependent on spawning in random wrecks. NATO/UN equipment such as UK assault vests, berets,MICH helmets,US Uniforms spawn in Chernarussian military bases.

Solution: Create two separate loot tables. Hardened bases remain Chernarussian and are earmarked for Eastern European loot. Tent Cities such as the ones at NWAF and Balota are now NATO/UN equipment spawn points. This solves the problem of trying to gather specific equipment that is compatible with each other or suits player tastes.

Example:

Chernarussian Military loot table-

Gorka Uniforms

TTsKO Uniforms

High Capacity Vests

AKM and accessories

AK 101 and accessories

Makarov and accessories

PM73 and accessories

Pilot Helmets

Tanker Helmets

Smersh and accessories

Binoculars

Chernarussian military beret,Order of the Red Star Beret

NATO/UN Military loot table-

Tactical Shirt/Cargo pants

M4A1 and accessories

1911 and accessories

MP5-K and accessories

UK Assault Vests

Ballistic Helmets

M67 Frag grenades

Flashbangs

NZ special forces beret,UN Beret

Neutral Military loot table-

Military boots

Gas masks

Combat knifes

Medical items

Weapon cleaning kits

They need it more complicated then that...there should also be civillian millitary type loot spawns for lack of a better term. Lower tier weapons and their attatchments should spawn in civilian areas and be removed from military spawns altogether.

Also for every piece of millitary clothing there should be a civilian equivalent. The millitary clothing should only offer advantages in camo.

Also there should be civilian equivalents of any vest except ballistic vests. Since there are plenty of outdoorsmen type vests out there that are even camo we should be able to find them in civilian areas.

Finally hunting backpack should not be military spawn....it's description says it is an old fashioned pack for hunters....not a modern day military pack.

Only the SMERSH pack should be military

I agree on the hunting backpack. If you look at my post I did not include it. Nor did I include civilian weapon magazines or accessories. Please do not debate the idea of creating new civilian gear here as the subject pertains to handling military loot tables.

There should be hunting equipment (e.g. Blaze 95, CR527, Longhorn, Crossbow etc.), law enforcement equipment (e.g. SKS, MP5-K, handguns etc.) and general keep-at-home/self-defense equipment (Sporter 22, Magnum, pistols etc.) in terms of weapon spawns.

I disagree with having equivalents across all loot tables though. Its far more interesting if there is an intrinsic asymmetry other than just low/high tier. There should be civilian vests though but not every piece should have its civilian counterpart. The hunting backpack should move to "hunting spawns" being replaced by a true military backpack (same with the mountain backpack).

Also food and drink should not be as common in military bases and public buildings. Give us a reason to loot residential buildings more often!

MP5K IS A POLICE WEAPON AND IS ONLY IN POLICE SPAWNS

Yeah, in Russia and some post-soviet countries (like Chernarus, realistically), Police units such as the Russian OMON (Basically Chernarus' OREL) are gendarmerie forces, which means they're a branch of the military charged with police duties. So in my opinion, the "Chernarussian Military loot table" should be broken down to Police and Military, as well as external forces such as Russia's troops, which clearly back the troops of Chernarus hence the reason the uniforms we are able to find are virtually the same as Russia's. Obviously we need more evidence of this, but that's the best we can assume given the resources.

Does that mean it should only spawn in police stations? Several western military organizations use them. Also according to the wiki, the MP5 and it's magazines spawn in military prisons.

I think loot tables should not be mutually exclusive. So you might find an MP5-K as both a law enforcement weapon and the service weapon of technical military personnel (drivers, pilots etc.) - in case the PM73 is the Chnerussian submachine gun of choice this would mean you could find MP5-K's in police stations, cars and helicopter crash sites (and maybe UAZs).

I have to mention those humvee wrecks need the same level of interaction the police cars offer. Players should be able to pop the trunk to check for American weapons or equipment.

Yeah I'd also like to see at least 3 loot tables for military loot: civilian/Police (WW2 to 1980s surplus), CDF (see ARMA 2), and NATO (again, see ARMA 2). Maybe a 4th for modern Russian gear found in the far north for some smexy digital flora camoflage.
