Not all military bases equal?

I have been keeping to the south west corner of the map kind of making a loop between the military base outside of Pavlovo, through Pavlovo, through Zelenogorsk and the military barracks there, ending at the building atop Green Mountain, and then reversing back the way I came. I used to find fairly good loot around here. But since the last stable update I'm not finding shit, except for track suits (they are everywhere). Is it like this at all the bases now? Are they trying to drive us to the NW airfield?

Maybe they're trying to drive you to think that there's more to it than just grinding for military loot.

On stable? You must've been unlucky. My two mates and I did Balota and Pavlovo, walked away with two Ak101 and an AKM, with four mags each, sidearms with ammo and full military clothes and gear. Completely ridiculous.

 

On the new experimental tho...digging it! Walked from Svetlojarsk along the eastern and southern coast and then up towards Zelenogorsk. Had to use a farming hoe until I hit Elektro where I finally found a Fireaxe. Had a Magnum with me the whole but not one shot. Finally found 6 shots in Cherno. After that, the first and only other usable firearm (meaning with ammo) was the Mosin with 20 rounds I found in Pavlovo.

 

Honestly, the less military stuff and weapons spawn, the better.

I'm not looking to score military loot. I would like to find a semi-auto pistol to replace a ruined 1911 (frikkin zombies) and a tactical vest (again zombies) but mainly I like the area due to fact that most of the players I run into are friendly and don't try and shoot me in the face on site. Sorry If I refuse to play YOUR game...

Hmm, both those items would probably be in my category for military loot because you mostly find it at military bases.

What I'm saying is it seems unusual to find so little on stable, I don't care about anyones playstyle.

 

You sure you were the first to loot the buildings?

 

Also: keep pistols in your backpack, keeps that 1911 from getting ruined. ;) It gets ruined the least of all the gear on your body. Fall down some stairs -> ruin your pants and everything in it (seriously, who thought of THAT one? what sense does that make? Zombies hit you -> ruin your vest and shirt.

 

Also you get shot in the back a bit less than the front, usually, so gear in the backpack is, in my opinion, the safest place. Personally, I keep my sidearm in a protector case (if I have one) inside my backpack. Cause when I need that thing, I need it to work.

I have lost more than one pistol in a firefight (gets ruined shooting each other). I usually try to split up my most important supplies too. I will always try to place one bandage, morphine and loaded ammo clip in a case in my pack and also in a my pants. I usually only keep food and one stack of ammo in the vest/jacket because they are always the first to get ruined by zeds.

If you're looking for the 1911, you may want to check the tents near balota. We've found dozens of them and P1 pistols in the tent area. Magazines are there too but tend to be more scarce than the pistol itself. I tend to find lower grade military loot over by pavlovo and the loot tends to get better at zelenogorsk. Hope that helps

I have a FNX45 but no magazines. I have two pristine 1911 magazines which is why I'm looking to score a 1911. Yes I have learned the hard way to never keep anything I don't want ruined in my jacket or pants. It seems like whenever a zombie runs within 20m of me my jacket get ruined. And why exactly can't we repair a tactical vest? But again, has overall loot changed? And about loot respawn. Does only the items taken respwan, or does every item on the server change at respawn?
