So whats every one gonna build/fortify when all that gets added?

Recommended Posts

You have to look at it this way.  As you can tell, by the many posters on these very forums, that people do not want it to take long to get gear so why would base building be any different.  All people want to do is get an axe, chop some wood and voila, planks.  That's exactly they way I picture building being done.  No need for a hammer, no need for nails.  Simplicity for the simple minded.

well, that will suck giant zombie ass!! I think they sold enough copies so they dont need to flatter CoD kids. In mod, you had to build your carachter for days, sometimes weeks. I think they should go that way. Where is the fun in getting all you need in half hour.

Same reason why all MMORPG's were dumbed down for the masses.  "I don't have the time to gear up"

Its a video game! I think they can change some things in animal behavior to make game more fun. I would like that bears (wolves, panthers, wild dogs...if added) atack both players and zombies if they come close to them. Imagine this situation: you shoot bear with few .22 in the ass, just to make him mad and bleeding and you make him chase you in Novodmitrovsk. He will aggro every zombie in town and it will be epic fight and it will buy you some time to loot important buildings in peace.

See, they key word you used there was "close". i have no doubt a bear would attack you if you were too close. But if it uses the same mechanic as the zombies where they see you and charge you from 500+ meters away then it would just be stupid.

And yes, I think I understand it is a video game. One that strives to be a survival simulator that focuses on as much realism as it can in a fictitious situation. So adding rabid blood thirsty animals just to have something else to attack you is lame and the opposite of immersive.

Lets imagine animals will be hungry (they wont ear zombies because of their decease) and scared. They get atracted by fire and smell of meat you are cooking. Isnt that reason enough to atack you. Wolf or bear behind every other tree would be stupid.

Sure, why not. My only issue will be if they make them act like the zeds currently do. Which I'm really hoping the also change.
