Display adapter does not support format?

Recommended Posts

Hey everybunny,

it looks like I have a very weird format error. I don't know if it's because I just update Windows to 8.1 or what the matter is. The error looks like this when I want to start DayZ:

Display adapter does not support format D2458 for X8R8G8B8

I'm currently playing experimental, although I doubt that's got anything to do with it.

Can anyone help me please?

My system specs: Intel core i7, Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M. (If more is needed, let me know.)

Could it be as simple as having to update my Graphics Driver?

Thank you!

Check your DirectDraw Acceleration settings under the Display tab in dxdiag.

Make sure its enabled ;)

I have no idea how, but that seems to have fixed it (after a reboot thrown in for good measure ^^)

Thank you guys!

I would bet dollars to donuts its an issue related to graphics switching. There is an option in the control to "always use discrete graphics". May help if this reoccurs
