Body armour. Sapi plates.

I looked through the "list of ideas" that were already there and didn't see anything with body armour. Now the way BA works is there is a layer of Kevlar or Teflon on the surface that can stop a pistol rounds, behind this layer are pockets where SAPI plates can be inserted. when a round hits a SAPI plate, it shatters the ceramic plate on impact, therefor dispersing the bullets energy into the crumbled particles. After a sapi plate has been shot, it will feel like a bag of gravel, in real life. A Vest with intact plates SHOULD in fact be able to stop 2 to 3 7.62 rounds before it is useless. Of course this should be a rare item to obtain, with the actual PLATES being even harder to obtain. You should also be knocked on your ass or knocked unconscious because both of these things do happen. What do you guys think about this?

There are some armor suggestions already. Click at the (big) link in my signature and you can see existing suggestions. In the Items>Vests category you will find a "Kevlar Vest" and an "Armored Assault Vest" for example - which is probably akin to what you are suggesting.

So basically the same concept as the Ballistic Helmet - should not be that hard to implement but those vests should probably only feature minor carrying capacity if any (because the plates will take the space) and could be pretty heavy and restricting.

Here is what I have to keep on it for 14 hours a day minimum. Body Armor can carry a lot, and while heavy, many would carry such kit if they could secure it in a situation where people in clown masks are running loose, armed with hunting rifles are out to kill you or force you to eat rotten kiwis.

The idea of finding plates without a carrier is interesting. I could be fashioned improvised armor on vehicles or strapped in backpacks as a improvised carrier.

Don't see any reason why not. Would be cool just as long as it didn't nebulously allow you to take more rounds across the board via an arbitrary number.

 

Has to protect your chest and back, all else is up for grabs.

Homemade armor's would be nice i would like to see one made made from cut up truck tires, Dont think it will stop bullets (cep maybe weak ones like the makarov's round) but it could protect againt arrows and melee strikes
