Hmmm (Zombie Path Finding Talk)

Recommended Posts

Well the path finding for the zombies seems to work to an extent but when fighting heavy hordes i still see them manage to break through invisible holes in the walls every now and than to get to me. Its especially noticeable in tighter spaces like barracks where you would not expect to be flanked in a narrow corridor with shut doors. Its happened a few times. Its kept me on guard and edge which is good but there still seems to be allot of work needed on it.

Iv been hearing a few ppl talking about this problem now but i had to see it for myself. Shooting my AKM in large cities was the best way to give it a go and see it for myself. I just hope this can get fixed but its probably going to take a long time just to find the problem.

Im sure some of you have seen this already.

I've definitely witnessed zombies still going through walls, but what I've seen more of, is them going through doors. & whenever they do go through a wall, it's right next to the door, in my experience. It still beats them B-lining from 200m+ through a picket fence, brick wall, another picket fence, a chain-link fence, & then through the wall of your building hands down. In all fairness we were never promised a "fix" (not saying you implied that we were) but rather an improvement. So really I expected it.

That being said, it is a HUGE improvement in my opinion. Yes, more works obviously needs to be done, but again, it's expected.

Still early alpha. (Yes I know that you know.)

The team is making good progress!

& for what it's worth .. I'm confident that this thread will get merged with the Post Z Feedback lol

Hey I hear you man, but any progress is good.  :)

I was actually more immersed the first time playing the patch. I watched zombies find a path as they chased me, giving me more time to think & maneuver.

& on multiple occasions I was forced to use my gun & what little ammo I had to defend myself, where as before I was just hacking zombies with my axe like a walk in the park.

Zs are in greater numbers too.

But ultimately, you & I are 2 different people. I see good things in the future & I think the game's finished state will pertain to you more.  :)
