so.. if dayz is moving to a new engine, whats the point of all these update?

am I the only one who heard about rocket's announcement that dayz is moving to fusion engine?
 

if so, whats the point of getting so much done on current engine? wont everything have to be re-worked on the new engine?

 

can someone give me some insights please because every single time i talk about dayz moving to a new engine a mod just deletes my post
