pls tell me the tents are bond to the server, so that you cant just hope servers and fill it full of gear

Yeah they're bound. But you can pick it up and take it to a new server.

I assume you cannot pick up the tent while items are inside of it, right?

with the gear still in the tent or an empty tent?

To answer both of you. The tent has to be empty or you don't get the 'pack tent' options.
