Hacker on Seattle 24? L85 SUSAT, Radio

Last night on Seattle 24, my group encountered and killed another player at the NE Airfield. Upon looting the body I discovered some pretty odd gear, including an L85A2 SUSAT and a radio. After I logged off, I did a little more research and it seems that this gear isn't even available in DayZ so it's possible that this player is a hacker (unless there's a reasonable explanation). Is there a legit way to acquire this gear?

He's talking about L85A2 with SUSAT, not CWS. It doesn't exist in DayZ.

It's definitely an L85A2 SUSAT and not an L85A2 AWS. I haven't seen if it's still in my inventory today. I can provide more time-of-incident information if requested.

BeerTiger drop the weapon immediately, never pick up gear ingame that isn't supposed to be, they ban people mistakenly for that even if the person picked it up off a dead hacker they killed.

Thanks, I'll drop the items when I log in. At the time, I didn't have a clue this stuff wasn't legit but after doing some research and hearing from you guys I know I don't want to have any part of it.

The L85A2 AWS can switch between thermal and Night vision with N. It is a legit gun if you tossed it, thats a shame. Fairly rare gun.

Holy cow.

THEY WILL NOT BAN A PLAYER FOR PICKING UP AND CARRYING A HACKED WEAPON. THEY WILL ONLY BAN A PLAYER FOR HACKING IN THE ITEM. IF THIS WERE THE CASE A LOT MORE PEOPLE WOULD BE BANNED FROM THIS GAME.
