Nah, just allow you to move around the screen and tab out to click on other stuff easier, like playing music (I sometimes do that while playing games)

Fullscreen basically but you don't have to wait 5 seconds to get out of it, it's instant

You shouldn't be tabbing out of the game anyway....and come  complaining about beeing eaten/beaten/shot/raped in the forums...
