What is the max distance away from the heli crash do loot piles spawn?

It should be right around it, if you didnt find anything, then someone has already been there and no loot will be spawned.

Well we found some good loot in my group but in a pervious encounter with a crashed heli, we found some more loot a bit of a distance away from the crash site. So what I'm asking is what is the max distance in meters that loot will spawn from a crash site?

I would assume it's less than about 5 meters, if even that far from the crash site.

Never found anything further than that.
