Weird border around my game

Recommended Posts

Just got an SSD and reinstalled DayZ and optimized my settings, went in-game twice and noticed both times there was a slight border around the left side and top of my screen. Any ideas on what's causing this?

GPU: XFX R9 280x Double D

Might be something within CCC?

Here's a picture so you can see what I'm experiencing:

Looks like the border only appears when I look into a city, when I look out into the forest it goes away.

Well, you're looking into the forest in the image, and there is a border.

What I would do first (but this might not be the problem):

Maybe your color calibration is out, put your LCD to factory settings, set your gamma to 1 in case you've been messing with it, look at a RGB color test card. The web will tell you how to set up color and luminosity and contrast.. or you maybe have software with your graphics card.

Also could be your graphics card overheating, ya know.. does it's fan run?

(this is just stuff I'd look at first, maybe it will help)

In that picture it seems weird but looking in that general direction (I'm next to Berezino on the sniper hill in that picture), so about 180 degrees including the view of Berezino gives me that red border but if I flip around the other way it doesn't.

I'll give those options a try when I'm back home.
