Oficial Servers

I got the game a couple days ago, and i am really confused, for what i have read, anyone can rent a server from server providers, then does that mean there are not oficial servers ? and what is an oficial servers, the game is full of servers, and i cant seem to decipher where to go, becuase i want to play in a server that is actually from the creators of DayZ, can someone please enlight me on this topic?

All servers are 'official' servers in that they must use the rules laid out by DayZ team. There are currently no private servers.

all the games on all the servers are exactly the same official DayZ Standalone game

 

If you wish: you can pay to rent a copy of the game running on a server

then you are the administrator of that one copy of the game

but your copy is still exactly the same as all the other examples of DayZ, it is still the same official game

look on the forums here to see what are the rights and obligations of an admin

some admins have different attitudes to how they run the game but an admin cannot change the DayZ game

 

so all the servers in the list are official, all the DayZ games are 100% from the creators of DayZ

Don't forget to mention they are official because they are connected to a main Hive, without this player data would be lost and now it is preserved over all the other servers connected to it.

I too am a little confused when the server list comes up. I get that they are all running the same game with the same basic rules. But reset times, day/night 24/7, starting spawns aren't always the same. Most will tell you in the title reset and day/night settings, but I have yet to decipher spawn settings. Some servers ignore my saved data and spawn me as a bambie, usually the fragnet servers do this. Fragnet servers also seem to be pretty empty, and there are a fuck ton of them. Are people avoiding them (I have started avoiding the fragnet servers) and why, are there other servers to avoid (I'm mostly worried about bambie spawns)
