improvised leather backpack?

I have all the parts (deer pelt, rope, and sticks) and I'm putting them together in the right order, but it's not letting me make it. :-/  anybody know why?

I could be wrong, but I think you can only make the backpack with a wild boar pelt at the moment.  Rope + Boar Pelt, then sticks.

Yeah I haven't been able to make it work with deer pelts either. Been running all over Chernarus looking for a wild piggie to see if that works, but the damn swine appear to be quite elusive.
